Zundert is the birthplace of the famous painter Vincent van Gogh and because of that is worth a visit. In Zundert various places of interest, remind of Vincent van Gogh’s life and work. The Town Hall on the marketplace, the Dutch Reformed Church and the Sexton’s House are from the time of Van Gogh.
On this native soil the Van GoghHouse was opened in 2008, with a museum and an exhibition space, a restaurant and the Tourist Office in Zundert.
Zundert is also the village of the world biggest dahlia parade. Every first Sunday in September twenty hamlets compete with their float for the Prize of Honour for the most beautiful creation. Since 1936 onwards this is a big celebration of passion, creativity and community spirit.
Also the annual strawberry fair festivities are worth a visit. Enterprising Zundert presents itself best here with a fair, atmosphere, street theatre and of course…strawberries.
